Om konferansen

InLifeScience is the annual conference and national meeting place for the life sciences industry. The conference highlights the potential of life sciences in Norway, addresses the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry, and serves as a forum for discussing and sharing how success stories come to be.

How will our environment, the food we produce, and our lifestyles impact both planetary and human health?

InLifeScience 2024 will feature parallel tracks focusing on:

Health: encompassing the detection, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Food and Feed: covering nutrition and the utilization of bioresources. With advances in the treatment of serious diseases and a reduction in early-age mortality, the world’s population is aging. Consequently, there are fewer individuals of working age for each retired person. Will it be sustainable to continue the approach of diagnosing and treating only after illness occurs?

We must rethink value chains, leverage technology, and harness synergies to achieve our goals more efficiently.

Join us on October 30th to explore these critical issues and contribute to shaping the future of health and bioresources.

The final program will be announced after the summer. Confirmed speakers so far include Sigrid Bratlie, Ishita Barua, Hanne Haslene Hox (SINTEF), and Vibeke Telle Hansen (OsloMet). More speakers will be announced soon.

The organizers: The Life Science Cluster has 120 members within health and bioindustries. Established in 2016, the cluster has scored high on internationalization, member satisfaction and trust both between the members, and to the cluster administration. Its members covers the full five factor model with large and small companies, academia, investors and the public sector. With this as a base, how can Norwegian industry capitalize on regional and scientific strengths, to meet global needs in challenging times?

Tekna is an trade union for people with higher education within technology and natural sciences. Tekna Biotek is a professional network within Tekna focusing on biotechnology, molecular biology, chemistry, pharmacy, food and biochemistry, and has over 3500 members.
