Building back better in Ukraine: Property Rights in Ukraine

The objective of the webinar is to provide information on rights to land, buildings and condominiums/apartments in Ukraine, to individuals and institutions, mainly outside Ukraine, who will be engaged in reconstruction or otherwise want to learn more about the topic.
The organizers believe it is crucial for all who will be engaged in reconstruction of Ukraine to have basic knowledge about property rights in Ukraine – the current situation and changes to legislation and services that might be introduced as a result of the war.
"Building back better" presents an opportunity to promote better governance, combat corruption, strengthen decentralization, social inclusion, and participation. Organizing new cities, institutions, and communities also involves implementing lessons learned from the pandemic. Importantly, it means promoting green urban development within a climate adaptation framework and strengthening the rights of marginalized and excluded groups.
To reduce future dependence on foreign aid, it is crucial for Ukraine to own planning and implementation processes. The organizers Habitat Norway, Tekna Samfunnsutviklerne and FTU, underscoring the importance of understanding the contexts and conditions of reconstruction, welcomes you to this second seminar in a series of seminars related to the reconstruction of Ukraine.
