Tromsø AI meetup 2023
Gathering AI enthusiasts to connect, socialize and learn about recent developments in the field of Generative AI. Organized by VIGS, NORA and Tekna.
June will be an exciting time for AI in Tromsø, with multiple conferences and AI summer schools (*) bringing together a lot of technical expertise. Connected with these events, we invite you to the Tromsø AI meetup 2023!
Join us at Storgata Camping for two interactive sessions led by notable speakers, lightning talks featuring talented individuals in the AI field, and ample time for socializing.
The focus of the talks will be on recent developments wihtin artificial intelligence, such as generative AI.
Generative AI is an exciting and rapidly evolving field, with the potential to revolutionize many industries and open up new avenues of exploration and creativity (and yes, generative AI wrote that – used as a writing tool, not as a gimmick). Representing a significant breakthrough in artificial intelligence research, Generative AI can create text, images and music that is more or less indistinguishable from human-created content.
This event is free and open to anyone with an interest in AI and a fundamental understanding of Machine Learning. Refreshments will be served. The event is co-organized by The Visual Intelligence Graduate School (VIGS), NORA – Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium, Tekna Big Data, and Tekna Tromsø avdeling.

Please note that this course has a no-show fee policy to reduce food waste. The fee is NOK 150.- and will be charged if you do not attend the course and have chosen food serving during the registration. To avoid the no-show fee and make room for others, please cancel your registration by June, 8th if you are unable to attend. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us minimize food waste.
(*) The NORA Annual Conference 2023 will take place 5–6 June, Tekna will host its Biannual Supervisory Board Meeting (Representantskapsmøtet 2023, invitation only) 9–11 June, and NORA will organize the NORA Summer Research School 2023 on 12–17 June.
