Join the lecture by Tekna member Dr. Erlend Moster Knudsen, a specialist in Arctic climate, who is currently undertaking a 3000 km run to Paris.

On November 30th this year, representatives of all the countries of the world meet in Paris to negotiate a “climate deal” at the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP21 of FNCCC.

Ahead of COP21, the public awareness campaign Pole to Paris follows a team of young environmental scientists as they travel – by bicycle and foot – from the Polar Regions to Paris. Along their routes they talk about climate change and aim to bridge the gap between science and society in towns and cities they pass. Dr. Erlend Moster Knudsen is the lead scientist on the campaign's Northern Run. At http://poletoparis.com/ you can read more about Pole to Paris.

The lecture will be given at the University of Stavanger's Library in Kjølv Egelands hus and is open for everybody interested!

This event is a cooperation between the national group Tekna Klima (Tekna Climate) and the Tekna Stavanger Chapter's Environmental Group.
