Free training courses for Tekna members
Tekna is actively involved in developing several industry-specific programs for raising employees’ skills in the petroleum and electro/energy sectors. Apply now and earn credits while increasing your skill level.
The changing workforce requires us to keep ourselves updated on new knowledge and trends. In collaboration with several other organizations that include NITO, Norsk Olje og Gass and EL- og IT-forbundet, Tekna has been involved in developing industry-specific courses and study programs targeted towards our members.
You can find interesting and relevant individual courses through the industry program, or finally start on the academic degree you’ve been thinking about for a long time – all at no cost to you. Individuals who are getting unemployment benefits won’t lose these benefits, and active employees can combine training and work.
The list below shows you all courses that are relevant to you as a Tekna member (sorted by industry/sector).
Petroleum sector
The industry-specific program for the oil-gas-supplier industry started in the fall of 2020 and is being developed through a collaboration that includes Tekna, NITO, Norsk Industri, Norsk Olje og Gass, LO og NHO.
You’ll find relevant programs in the list below that are relevant for you as a Tekna member. As they’re offered at several different schools, you must apply locally to the school of your choice. Read more about each program and its application criteria:

Electro installation and automation
The organizations EL og IT Forbundet, Nelfo, Energi Norge, NITO, Tekna, Samfunnsbedriftene, Forbundet for ledelse og teknikk (FLT), LO og NHO cooperate with Kompetanse Norge to find targeted training programs for everyone working in the industry.
